We are Corné and Annemiek, and we are the proud parents of three wonderful boys: Lars, Jesse and Tim. Our greatest pleasure is sharing life’s wonderful moments together as a family of five. We cherish delicious food, playing with the kids and discovering new places. However, given our busy lives in the Netherlands, this is not always easy.
Together is our favorite place to be
This brought us to the dream of a second home in a warm paradise. At first it was just a distant vision of the future, until we came into contact with a Dutch real estate agent in Marbella. We were drawn to it, as it were, like magnets. Our hearts started beating faster. Eventually we discovered our current apartment. It was love at first sight for both of us!
Not long after, we found ourselves on a plane for a viewing trip. Why postpone our dream? Wouldn’t it be great to create precious memories NOW under the Spanish sun, with our children? Before we knew it, we were the proud owners of an apartment in Spain, which we named Casa Sunset. Here on the Costa del Sol we have really understood what “quality time with the family” means. As bon vivants, we attach great value to spending time together, and that fits seamlessly with the Spanish lifestyle. People here seem to be enjoying themselves more and being less rushed, and that is contagious. It is a clear contrast with our busy lives in the Netherlands.
After just 2.5 hours of flying we arrive in our Spanish refuge. The stress of everyday life slips away effortlessly. We enjoy the sun streaming in through the sliding doors and the spacious terrace with a sea view. One of the most pleasant surprises was the tranquility of the complex. From the terrace we overlook the swimming pool and the lush, tropical garden that surrounds it.
The Costa del Sol region has a lot to offer: away from mass tourism, lots of unspoilt nature and 325 sunny days a year! The many golf courses that this region is known for are also a big plus. The proximity to Marbella is another advantage. A short distance away you will find charming places where you can enjoy Spanish cuisine at affordable prices, with delicious tapas or freshly caught fish. It immediately feels like a holiday!
In short, all the pieces of the puzzle suddenly fell into place and our dream became reality. Spain has forever captured a special place in our hearts and Casa Sunset really feels like our second “home”. We hope that you will also enjoy it here and experience unforgettable moments!
